Regardless of what I said, I think that the best option is to go get a fuel pressure tester tomorrow and see what you come back with.
x2... check that shit out tomorrow

this is interesting. 9 times out of 10 the problem is related to ignition on these cars but if youre getting good spark that obviously isnt it. were the plugs you pulled wet? if they were doused in fuel they could be fouled out.

dont just press the schrader, just because it has fuel pressure, dosent mean its enough. Get a guage on it, make sure it has over 40 psi, make sure it has good spark. If it dosent have good fuel pressure, change the filter and check again. Eric L

the filter is very capable of causing problems. Mine plugged up with only 20k on it and i couldnt even rev the car without it choking/starving.

Hopefully it's an easy fix - sounds like they've got you set on some good troubleshooting items. If the engine is flooded, you can hold the gas pedal down while you turn the key to crank the engine and the PCM will go into "clear flood" mode where it will stop giving the engine fuel but you'll still have the spark and air - it'll clear a flooded engine and I had to do it a few times when my optispark was messed up.

Alright just picked up a fuel pressure tester. About to test the pressure and putting in brand new NGK TR55 plugs to rule out fouled out plugs. Have the hood up and gonna let it sit for about an hour and then try her.

P.S. Please don't treat me like a "noob". I've been working on cars since I can remember, I attended college for automotive, I have R and R transmissions, engines ect. Not to be rude.

Also I know holding the pedal down on a FI car goes into flood mode.

I am currently rebuilding two engines on Saturns, one is gonna be turbo the other car is going to be sold.

I know I was just stating.

Also fuel pressure came back around around 40psi. My friend said when it first primed it was at like 45psi then dropped to around 40-39psi.

Well got it. It was a bad coil. The MSD coil went bad.

Wow, chalk up another shitty MSD ignition component.

Did you replace it with another MSD or a AC Delco? or something else?
