  • motor mounts how to??

well after 100k on my car my mounts are SHOT.. so i plan on buying the energy suspension poly ones, but how do you take the old ones out? do i have to drill out the old rivets then put it in? if so does the kit come with bolts or something to hold the case back together? it just looks like a PITA! thanks guys!!

yep drill out the old rivets and bolt in the new ones, I've heard they are a PITA too which is why I was glad I found a set brand new and already in the clamshells

Its not a problem to drill the rivets out once you have the mounts and clam shells out of the car.

I would question the intelligence of someone that attempted to do that in the car

but if thats why everyone complains i guess i finally see why...

they generally complain about getting the clamshells out Joel and putting the new mount back in them is a PITA because they are so tight. I don't think anyone is dumb enough to try and do any of that with them in the car lmao.
