Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

For the past few weeks, when ever I go to start my car, it cranks over, but nothing, I will let off and crank it again and it starts right up and runs fine afterwards
I tested to make sure the pumps cycling correctly, I get 45psi at the rail.
Some one told me to change the fuel pressure regulator, didnt do a thing, just wasted $50
Any ideas,
Thanks in advance

Mine did everything the EXACT same, and it ended up being the fuel pump. Check pressure when you crank, mine tested fine off, but once I cranked it dropped way down.

My bird was doing this too, but not all the time. then finally wouldn't start after it sat for few weeks. Long story short it was fuel pump. After I replaced it I jumpered it to battry and while holding pump in my hand pump motor would stick then hit it second time it would take off. Since replacing pump it hasn't done it again.

Yeah I wont be too happy, I think mine might still be under warranty
john check the voltage at the test plug on the passenger fender well. put meter set for 12V + on there have someone or yourself turn on the key should see 12v for 2-3 sec then 0 v. thats the prime cycle, then when you turn key to start you should see 12v+ again. that goes straight to pump. if you have all that, then its down to clogged filter ie low pressure, or pump. My guess is pump.

My car isnt holding any pressure at the rail once the car is turned off.
I cycle the key and it spikes at about 52psi, turn the key off and it drops to 0.
I also checked the battery with my dads battery tester, it shows good charge, but needs charging.
I have it on the charger now, doubt this has anything to do with this issue.
I am going out in a few to get new batteries for my MM
yup, lately my cars been doing the same and I've feared its the fuel pump since i had shit dumped in it 2 months now....
it doesn't all start the 2nd try either, i can get lucky and hit it the first or even worse the 3rd attempt, just haven't had time to check fuel pressures long as the cars getting me from point a to b.
you don't have a check engine light on for anything correct?

Usually if it doesn't hold pressure, your pump is shot.
Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
I have been anal and usually dont let it get under 1/3 tank =(
I looked at my reciept and the site i got the pump from last year is not longer a website.
