I have 125,000 on my bird and I believe its still original. What kills clutch is 1500-3000rpm and dump clutch. That smokes pressure plate. To really acccelerate properly on a stick you should get to friction point leave out on clutch as you press on gas only staying 200 300 rpm ahead, once launched keep on it till shift point. Its hard to not let it bog on you. Most guys can't get real feel and over rev and dump clutch that will kill new clutch in no time.

I really think that Woodward this last year did in the clutch and my tires. It was really hard not to do anything when it is your first sports car especially when your at Woodward and people yelling at you to do something (I'm a sucker for peer pressure and to show them what Camaros were meant to do LMAO). I hope that the issue is with my window is just its loose that would be wonderful, but knowing my luck it wont be.

actually, just the constant in-and-out clutch action you go through during the dream cruise is brutal on a clutch. even if youre not pulling any holeshots. My spec 3 wont deal with standstill traffic at all. Only takes about 10-15 seconds of continuous slipping and it starts making noises and doesnt engage well. Heat is a clutch's worst enemy.
