  • LT1 stumbling only around sharp right turns

Car runs fine, new fuel pump, Ignition module, water pump. Few days ago I made a sharp right there, can kept running but RPM's dropped to zero and stayed there, car woudn't accelerate for a few seconds and then it kicked back on. Eventually it got worse and worse til it would start and run but only idle at 200 sounding like it was only firing on 2 cylinders. I couldn't figure it out. It was throwing a P1361 code which is a Ignition Coil B secondary Circuit, dropped it off at the shop and they cleaned some connections and deleted the codes. But now it runs great all the time, But it still does it when i go around right corners. When I go around left corners she pulls strong as ever.
Now when I go around ONLY RIGHT CORNERS the car will stumble, backfire and maybe stall. I can start it right back up with no problems or hesitation. I think there may be a bare wire hitting some metal while I'm going around right corners and its causing it to stumble. BUT I CAN"T SEE ANYTHING. Is there anyway I can find this short or...........any other suggestions?

Chance are that the PS input pressure switch has gone bad.

its a pressure switch that tells the pcm to up idle a little bit when extra load from the ps pump could make the engine stall.

Or you're low on gas/fuel pump issue

Pretty equal. I haven't driven it because I sold it. I sold it to a Mr. Teeth on here. I had an oil leak and it drenched the opti and were pretty dang sure it was that. He is probably putting a new opti in as we speak!

Yeah if oil was sloshing around in the opti that would cuase a similar issue for sure. Especially since the left hand bank of cylinders on the opti is lower making a right hand turn with an opti with oil in it could cuase this troulbe.

the really funny thing is I had this leak for about a month and a half, and the opti survived THAT long. It would run like a freakin champ when you didn't make right turns. LOL. What a beast. I think the new owner will be happy to see this. Thank you for your insight sean!
