    ive found absolutely nothing indicating that the shaft is removeable or can be bought as an individual part. but here is what he is talking about.

        god this OPTI thing sounds like a ****ing pain in the ass..Do the LS truck engines have that too, cause if so I will be doing a SBC instead, I don't want these problems cause I have no one to turn to..

        Good luck though interesting and informative reads..

          LS trucks would use LS coils.... Optis are used on gen II SBCs.

            Nope, Unless you get an LTx you don't have to worry about the opti.

                    Well my garage looks like a nuke went off in it BUT I found the shaft

                    I'll be going to Red's tomorrow to get this thing fixed

                          I was so frustrated with my self I just couldn't take it any more
                          I knew I had one but I couldn't find it so I went postal on my garage and found it in a old timing gear from my car on the shelf in a box.
