Red's Triple Knock-out!

Problem has been found

The Opti is junk!
It's froze right up, can't even turn it by hand

But it's free replacement so all I have to do is go and pick it up
Should be running in a few hrs.

What happened to Red's car isn't anything I did or made happen it just did.
Don't mean that you have a defective part or that I put junk on you car or any car that I work on.
If your worried about the work I did on your car don't bring it back!

The shaft that drives the Opti on the 93's.

I have a spare but I can't find it for some reason

This would be off a 97 LT1. Are they the same? GM would be the a55holes too change the teeth count or something from year to year.

Easy there Kyle!! If I remember right didn't you do something different to Red's Opti, that most likely you didn't do to Tony's!! Therefore his should be just fine!!

92-93 are the same they have the splined shaft that is removable.
It has splines on both ends and used on 92 Vets and then used on 93 F-Bodys.

94-97 is different making my TA and Red's Camaro one-offs

Easy there Kyle!! If I remember right didn't you do something different to Red's Opti, that most likely you didn't do to Tony's!! Therefore his should be just fine!!

Tony's opti is run by the Cam Shaft pin unlike 93's that have the shaft to turn the rotter.

The only way Tony is going to have an issue is if he runs an after market Cam and doesn't check the length of the pin to the stock one.

From what I know, 92-93 opti's are the only ones that have the removable shaft because everything from 94 & up is run by the cam shaft pin.

No shaft but its a good opti off a 97 LT1. I thought there was a shaft suck on the back of it that could help you. Doesn't do you any good though, does it? By the looks of it, you'd have to replace the timing cover.

That won't work for Red's car
For the 93's you have cut the pin short on after market cams because of the timing cover.

I figured all optis were the same and I knew it was off a 97 car. I figured the shaft was just on the back of it. I know what you're talking about though because we did a cam swap on Kolin's 93 Trans Am and I know exactly the 1" shaft you need.
