Has anyone used the E3 spark plug in their lt1?If so did you notice any difference in performance?any difference in idle or hp gains?I watched horse power and they tried them in a engine and gained 4 or 7 hp..

I have heard they work well on bolt-on cars but past that you needs less gap and there is no way to adjust the gapping of those plugs, I'd spend that cash elsewhere.Doing less with more

I always run the factory brand. All my GM products have always got AC Delco. Didn't matter if it was my stock 2.2 Sonoma, stock Trans Am, or my built 355 I had. Same with my Ford's, they always get Motorcraft.2005 Yamaha R6

Oh yeah, the power gain they showed on TV was probably the gain over a plain old copper core resistor plug, probably over an autolite or something...it's advertisement.
Kinda like the time they showed the hp gains from using royal purple-the other oil they used was like a conventional wal-mart brand.
Used to own a Firebird.

Unless your spark plugs are fouled in the 1st place then replaced there should not be any HP gains at all.Originally posted by my1994z28 View PostHas anyone used the E3 spark plug in their lt1?If so did you notice any difference in performance?any difference in idle or hp gains?I watched horse power and they tried them in a engine and gained 4 or 7 hp..

they actually tested the plugs on an ls motor on the show and it did make more power, they also had a little spark testor to show how much better spark they achieve. Like I mentioned though they are not adjustable for gapping and that is the downfall, they probably aren't bad plugs but they are wayy too overpriced and TR-55s have been proven over and over for years.Doing less with more

TR-55s have been the standard for our cars for years, why try and reinvent the wheel? Stick with what works, they are only plugs for petes sake.Doing less with more
