So I checked it out again today. The rear end only shows 10 bolts. He still claims its a moser. He said he just replacd the driveshaft 6 months ago and when he called to order it they had to verify what rear end it had. he says he had to give them some codes off the door and that the dealership told him it was a moser. He is gonna get me the door codes tom so i can call. Im not buying the story but well see.

Seriously. Why would they ask about the rear end for the driveshaft? As far as I know, from '82-3 up to '02, driveshafts are interchangeable. When the mid-ship bearing in mine went out, I threw the Inland Empire shaft into it, no problems. I honestly don't believe Moser makes a 10 bolt. I could be wrong, but that stuff is flat out racing equipment. Sounds like someone could say that strange axles were stock. I'd see if you could run a carfax, just for the hell of it.

The driveshaft for the moser 12bolt is shorter than the factory 10 bolt. Chances are im prob not gonna buy the car at this point but well see. If he wants to come down some more on price we may talk.

                    Hmmm...it could be a Moser 10-bolt.

Moser makes Auburn, and a Auburn differential was available on the Firehawks...but not in a standard T/A...

Got a call from the guy today. It is NOT a moser 12 bolt. I believe this guy wasnt trying to lie to me, I think he just didnt know and believed what someone else told him. he said he would take another $500 off the price if I was still interested. the 12 bolt was a big selling point of that car for me. Got some thinking to do now.

                                Mike, like we talked about:

                                1 Needs trans work
                                2 needs body work
                                3 needs fender

That is 2500-3000 easy and the hood is someone's try at a WS6.

No 12 bolt = no sale IMO.
