Crazy to hear all these wait times - we put the bead on, let it sit for maaaybe 10 minutes, and then plopped the intake manifold on.

Hate to say it, but is there any chance that the intake manifold is warped and causing the oil blow out?

that could be possible, But It looked flat to me.

I'll try waiting 20 this time and then slap it on.

then another 10 and tighten the bolts.

Check to book I believe the correct tighting sequence is like the heads center out. If you tighten the ends first you may be putting a warp in the manafold when it heats up.

Well i just tightened some bolts on the intake, A few were loose, maybe 2, one in the back and one in the front. just like before they are tight when i do it and loosen up on there own, damn Gremlins. but for now its tight, It'll have to do until the end of the summer when i replace the silicon on the intake.

and i didn't know certain bolts had to be tightened first, thats possible but if brians isnt leaking i wouldnt worry about it. its probably cause i didn't use high class silicon again... Fail on my part....

Yeah man you need to tighten them in sequence or else the intake will warp. That's why mine doesn't leak and might be why yours does.

torque sequence on intake manifolds is pretty critical, you need to make sure the intake sits down flat at about the same time in all places for a good seal, I would go back and at least retorque them in the correct sequence.

thats fine, but loosening the intake bolts and retorquing isn't really downtime if you ask me lol.
