Looks good really good. Little constructive criticism, WAYYYY to much weld on the pickup tube. Most people tack it in 1 or 2 spots, not lay a heavy bead all the way around it.

Would the bead all the way around it really hurt it at all, though? Honestly curious on that subject because I plan to have mine welded/tacked this time around.

That pickup tube is VERY thin. It can easily cause deflection, and deflection= less flow. With the massive bead layed on that tube, I'm sure it got pretty hot. I certainly wouldn't do it. I'm sure thats the reason that every single every one that I have ever seen done, is like one tack weld, done with a tig welder.

thats not all the way around it, only welded it in one spot, those are grip marks because the little bastard wouldnt come off the old oil pump

im pretty sure there is only one tack in that picture. the pump itself is only discolored in one spot... right below the spot of weld.
