Mine used to be about 60 regardless, a pinch higher when cold.

Could just be tired, could also be the oil and filter combo you have. What are you running for oil and a filter? Have you tried changing the oil and seeing if that helps. BTW, 30psi is quite acceptable at idle. On a GENERAL basis, you need roughly 10 pounds of oil pressure per 1000rpms.

I run GC 0w30 in the new motor, but ran any general 10w30 in my v6 and had no issues. But that fram filter scares me, some people get lucky, but others, not so much. Youll never see one on any of my vehicles.

They have a tendency to crush themselves.

Pretty much anything is better than fram oil filters. Mobile 1, pureolater premium plus, and napa gold are the best. IIRC k&n isnt to bad either.

mine also seems to hold a pretty constant 55-65 psi no matter what and a little more cold.

I dont see why. Like I said, 30 is fine at idle, what is it while crusing and getting on the gas?

just crusing at say 1800 rpm its only like 40psi getting on it itll get to 65

but i looked somewhere online and it said it should be at 60 at 2000 rpm

It might just be a bad oil pressure switch. Hook a manual gauge up to it if you can get your hands on one and see if it reads the same.

Thicker oil is not the answer, stay 10-30 and change the filter to a napa gold or other. NO FRAMS!
