it throws a coolant sensor code(broke it while doing headers). it ran while throwing the code

when did you do the headers and when did the car not starting problem happen?

if the sensor is broke they normally read like -40 which will dump fuel and wash cylinders

the problem started when i got the headers done, initially the car was getting spark, but not getting any fuel, so i replaced the fuel pump/sending unit, it started right up after that, shut it off, and wouldnt fire. found the loose ground, hooked it up, now still not getting spark, i have an extra coolant sensor, i can hook it up, but dont think it has anything to do w the coils.

they're new TR-55's, grounded to the header.

OK your all over the place, My suggestion, start over forget everything. 1. change the broken sensor. 2. determine if you have fuel. there is a schrader valve off fuel rail. Best is get a gauge and measure pressure should be 45-55 lbs. I put this as #2 because you changed pump, maybe it went bad!. 3. If you have fuel then start and check spark. pull a couple of plugs and check them. by now they could be flooded and if not gapped close or are old may be firing issue. I don't think its the plugs, but you need to eliminate them from being problem. 4. If no spark on any of the coil packs then you have a general problem. 5. get wiring diagram and check each step.

do you get a rpm sig from the crank sensor a a scan tool?
the crank sensor might be bad

that might be it, will try replacing it thursday. last time it ran without the ground on, i got the car to sputter a couple of times and had to give it gas to keep it going, then the check engine light flashed a few times and the motor shut off.

Sounds like it could definitely be the crank sensor, thats what happened when my car would die. Loose the tack, light comes on, car dies.
