I believe what you are calling a guard is acually a air flow diverter to direct air through the rad and cond coils. Take a picture then we can tell you for sure.Originally posted by Rome View Postso i have this plastic guard in front of my A/C condensor and radiator, i was wondering if i need the guard there. or if anyone has taken it off, or left it on. and noticed a difference in power or engine operating tmeperaturesigpic

It's a Camaro thing because my TA didn't have one but the Camaro I'm working on right now has one.
I couldn't tell you why it's there
The piece that he is talking about is actually hooked over the top of the condenser and goes down to the bottom.
Since our fans pull and don't push I believe it's to help the fans pull the air through.
Now why mine don't have one the world may never know ???
