LT1 intake manifold q?

Can i remove the intake manifold on my lt1 without dropping the cradle?
i haven't really looked at it enough to determine this and i honestly don't know that much about LT1's

and also, can i remove the air pumpers on my manifolds without it affecting anything? besides gas mileage.

if by cradle you mean k member, then no you dont need to drop it im pretty sure. we did a cam swap and heads and everything on kolin's lt1 ta without touching the k member. but i might be mis understanding you, idk.

ohhh yeah definately can take it out the top if thats what you mean, there is some stuff to be removed first though

Yeah, A.I.R. should come off pretty easily, though you'll have to weld the holes where they connected to the manifolds shut.

Yeah, A.I.R. should come off pretty easily, though you'll have to weld the holes where they connected to the manifolds shut.

Or get some pipe plugs from the hardware store for a few bucks. Just keep in mind you will throw a code.

Yea no need to drop the cable make sure you have quick disconnects for the fuel lines..Its really easy to do

cool i appreciate all the help guys.
ill be taking off the top end Monday most likely, just for cleaning & gasket changes and try to sort out any problems there may have been.

and if all goes well im going to take the heads out to Allard Engineering and see what jim wants to do with them

When you put it back together, pay special attention to the rear of the intake. Use a lot of sealant and make sure the surfaces are really really clean.
