    Yes headers are better than the tubular manifolds but for a daily driver i didn't think you wanted to spend nearly 300 just for headers. Yes they will give more horsepower, but wouldn't you rather put 300 bucks into your z28 than you sixer in which your not worried about your 1/4 mile times anyways. It's completely up to you but if you just plan on keeping this a daily driver i don't see the point to dropping that kind of money. Just my two cents.

      oh im not doing it for performance even though that will be a benefit... im doing it for gas mileage. i got a good 3-4 mpg out of the longtubes on my Z. no joke.

        well it's completely up to you, what gear does it have in it now, if it has 3.42's drop it down to 3.23 or lower to give you a nice low cruising rpm. Anyways good luck and let me know how it turns out for you.

          how is plug wire clearance w/ headers?

            if you have 90* boots it is fine, no biggy at all. If straight boots then some will hit
