Those damn dowel pins really stick the trans to the engine. Gotta love how it looked like you murdered someone under your car after dropping the trans

so, umm, i went out and got myself an ls6 oil pump. i went to the parts counter and asked for one and the guy asked me what my vehicle was. i told him that the oil pump wasnt stock on my car, but he looked it up anyway. then the other parts counter guy came up and told him that he would need to look under corvette. this made me smile now, its really time to go work on the car

alright, did a little bit more work. removed the torque converter, the flywheel and the oil pump. 1 and 2, yes, i have enough room to sit upright and remove the flywheel. 3, **** you oil pan, that is all. 4, more stuff added to the 'bunch of crap removed' pile. but yeah, the oil pan was indeed a ***** to remove. but, it can be done without a cherry picker, so i insisted. all we did was loosen the k member a bit on the passenger side and wiggle the shit out of the oil pan, to the left specifically. got that tube situated just right and BINGO!Comment
