            • Me and jon started the tuning process last night, he showed me how to tune the spark map which i think is going to be the most important thing. I was getting a lot of spark retard all over the place, likely because of the advanced cam. So by looking at the data jon started pulling timing from certain areas of the map and we flashed it back. Even though it was kind of a pre-liminary test, I noticed a huge improvement already. It runs much smoother and I already got some more horsepower out of it.

I am also proud to say that I can stuff my foot to the floor in 6th gear at 1200 RPM (which would ALWAYS produce a missfire before) and the engine doesnt miss a beat now.

The TR6 spark plugs definitely provided a marked improvement also, which confirms a few of my old plugs were fouled. I just logged some more and have quite a bit more retard to tune out, but I am very happy with the results so far

                  • i actually think i suck at web design but im going to be working on quite a few projects soon. The detailing site I did with dreamweaver, it wasnt hand coded like I wish i could do.

Back to the car - I am beginning to dislike OBD1 [or the lack of hptuners] already... so far i havent been able to get the logged data into the same resolution as the PCM's - which means I am just eyeballing stuff instead of tuning to mathematical perfection.
