if you want a stall, do like a yank (or have mike ridings build you one)3600-4000 if you still wanna daily drive it

This is oly my opinion but on what I have read a 110-118 LSA (Lobe Seperation Angle) is what you would wnat to stay with for decent driving.
If you get the lobes to close together like 109 or less you will run into vacume problems and that will cause breaking problems.
You can buy a vacume pump to help with this but why do it if you don't have to.
In my LT-1 I have a 108 LSA and I have JUST enough vacume to run my breaks.

yea i think that cam is really big for daily driving actually. Heck, mines gonna be smaller than that and im afraid mine will want too many RPMs for a stock block (but i have an LT1). anything in the high 230s is gonna do some bucking and surging. Remember what some people consider driveable is probably not what you would consider that.
Jons torquer V3 which, IIRC, is 231/234 probably has more surge than you would want, but an automatic would help absorb it. Check into that cam, i would go no bigger than that.

To put it in cliff notes however, driveability is primarily based on overlap. More overlap = less driveability. Overlap can be made with a large duration, such as a 240 range cam, or a tight LSA, such as a 106. (or obviously both). If you want a cam that doesnt rev to the moon, but still chops, then go with a smaller duration cam with a tighter LSA. Most shelf cams are 112 which i believe to be pretty conservative. Even beyond that you can advance or retard the cam to make more low end or top end power.

cams in the low to mid 230's still drive like stock. If not the tuner sucks!
That cam is a little big but would probably make 460+ with an auto.
TFS with a 226/228(VRX3) and the mods listed would probably pull 440+ and drive like a caddy.
If you really want to wake it up have TEA port the TFS's

I'm happy with how my car drive because it has a great tune, it actually still bucks at around 46mph with my foot off the gas but hardly ever, the gas milage isn't stellar but thats not what I'm out for either

thats why i have the escort. also, pace came up with a new setup for me
