I'm with Sean on this. I saw a buddy go through hell with his Silverado a couple years ago after putting Taylor wires on. After a new cap, rotor, plugs, a couple sensors, he finally spent the money for the MSD's and after all that finally got it running right again.Originally posted by kammi10 View Postget to work and fix it joel...
ohh and get rid of them damn taylor wires and get some nice msd's like i told you a while ago
Spend the money and get a set of MSD's, Delco's, anything of decent quality and try em, Between that an plugs I bet it straightens out. It just sounds like them damn Taylor wires too.

Believe me, im ready to try a set of AC Delcos. The problem with getting delco though, is that they wont work with my OTVC harnesses. Ill have rando plug wires running all over the engine bay, but hey, that just might solve the problem.
Just one more thing to throw on the credit card...
Im gonna start with this oxygen sensor problem. Im doing more research right now to make sure the wiring is right (and im not sure about that). There are two signal wires, and niether of them seem to be recieving anything from the wideband controller, i have tried both. My passenger bank just stays a constant 450 while the driver side is fluctuating around 800 like it should. The wideband sensor, and the controllers output are properly calibrated to simulate the signal.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; May 9th, 2008, 10:54 AM.-Joel

At this point even if its just to troubleshoot and see if it fixes the problem I'd think it would be worth it. Getting running right till you can get something that works better for your wire routing. At least you could drive it. yea i agree Jasen, i am going to. But my computer is telling me that something is wrong with the narrowband sensor for sure, so i know that is part of the problem... at least i think i can assume it wouldnt be running right without proper narrowband signal on one side.
actually, i think ill go buy the set of plug wires now while i am waiting for people to chime in on the tech boards.-Joel

Well I just dropped my crappy y-pipe. got a new project now. I lined it up with Jonny's old y-pipe that i had sitting here (much better) and i noticed that it lined right up with the exception of length. So i think i am going to be partially fabbing my own y-pipe this afternoon. Should be interesting, and a fun break from all the problems

I hope you get everything figured out. Oh, and my first thought when I saw this thread's title was "Holy Crap, Batman's having OptiSpark issues!!Nick H.
