Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I'm look at a TA Ws6 with 30k thats freakin mint and I'm gonna be so scared to drive it in the winter. I'm currently looking for a cheap beater to last me thru the snowy days.
I have never had blizzacks before but I'm intriqued
Blizzaks are more like a hard foam rubber than real rubber. They wear REAL fast on dry pavement. I like Firestone Winterforces but Discount online had the $100 off 4 tires sale last week so I ordered up a set of Yokohama Iceguard's. They are soft compound but feel a bit harder than the Blizzaks.

Never driven an f-body in the winter nor would I want to. Looks like she has a nice car why mess it up by driving it in the winter. I'd be looking for some inexpensive winter ride if it was me.
I drove my TA last winter with BALD Kumho's and it wasnt bad. You just have to go slow and play it smart. I never got stuck once were I couldnt just get out and push my self out in like 5 seconds. Shit I took my old Nittos AKA Slicks well into Nov. before I put the street tires back on haha
drove my bird the first winter when i was 16, it was just fine if i didnt drive like a moron, i had my bros stock camaro wheels with some hankook zovaks, they worked amazing. would sell them but someone stole them and the wheels right out of our barn, freaking lowlifes

Use to have a 83 Camaro with a 6 in it. I drove it thru the snow with BFGs on it. It did pretty good,if it was real slick I could take off in 2nd. (it was a stick)
The first Gen started it all!!! 67 CAMARO RS AND A SEXY WIFE
A lot has to do with how you drive. I've been told that Fbodys handle way better in the snow then 2wd 1/4 ton pickups and I rocked my sonoma for 3 years in the snow with no problems. Mine was even lowered, with Yokohama YK420's, and I never had weight in the back.

My daily F-Body is a true daily, it does not matter what day it is, I drive it. Summer days, Winter days it makes no difference I drive it all year round.
I have all season tires on it and it drives just fine in the winter.
I just try to remember to take it easier in the winter.

Hmmm im in the market for some cheep winter or all season tires. This will be my first year drivin my car in the snow ill be putting some salt in the back just caus i dont want the sand bag crackin open and having it all over the place in my car
I drove mine last winter and it did okay, I had Kumho AST all season on it and it did pretty well. Even that semi-big snow storm late Jan/eary Feb it got around just fine once I can get out of my parking space (parking lot wasn't plowed and snow was up to my headlights). If the snow is so high that the car can't get through, traction didn't seem like that much of an issue. Mine was a LT1 with limited slip. Just FYI.
