jeez.. too lazy to do it himself.. we offered up many of suggestions.. but of course ROLO being the lazy bastard that he is.. takes it to a shop and they fix it for him.. while charging at the very least 150 bucks~

If it only took a few hours it can't be that expensive.

Well the parts they gave me I believe it says

                    1 Module used $60.00
                    1 coil used $20.00

                    Then degreased engine?

                    Tighten V.C. gasket

then installed my plugs and wires, coil 2 module

Ignition coil and module? Maybe your dad told them to do it cheap so they used used parts. That doesn't really explain the smoke unless whatever the gasket was they tightened was leaking.

x2. I get the rough/intermittant problem with the coil. same thing happened on my buddies Bonneville. The smoke threw us off. Must of had a loose valve cover OR a gasket is bad and to keep it cheap they just shot some RTV in there and cranked it down.
