ok not going to drive it around.starting smoking up again once i started it so...dont want to do more damage

started it up..and it smelt like gas in about 10secs after the start..it was somewhat of a medium strong smell, but you could def. smell it from a distance..


Smoked it up again when started..when I reved it up, it made like a clank sound near passenger side so I revved it again nothing, did it again clank

I didnt want to drive it so I kept it running for about 5min and thought the temperature gauge would at least move? I didnt move at all, dont know if thats normal or not for idling for 5min

Ususally takes 10-15 minutes or more for the temp to come up to full. I would think it would have moved some after 5 minutes though.

Yeah.. thats no bueno... It would be nice to have that scan tool... for starters.. a vacuum gauge would be nice too...

Couldn't it be one dead cylinder? A 6 w/ a dead cylinder would have a tough time getting out of it's own way. plug, wire, injector... or worse?

Ok well I didnt want this to open but

When my car broke down my dad was the one who paid for it to get fixed because I cant afford it.. When it broke down the other day he said its coming from my pocket cuz he cant afford it right now (mom and dad are getting a divorce and the plant he works @ EATON in saginaw is closing in dec.)

So its been through hell sitting there, so he called me up this morning and tells me to get it to the shop cuz he will cover it.. I would rather not because I really want to work on the car with him right now and would save money, plus the guys @ the shop I think are no good..last time my car was in there it came out with a chunk of my strip missing..!!!!

So i will be taking it to the shop to get it fixed i guess and when it gets out ill let you guys know what was wrong with it
