Ok..car was running fine and dandy...

I go to drop my g/f off @ work..pull out and head back home..Im going about 40..and decided to try and beat the light so I give it some more gas.. once I say I hit 42 the entire car started to shake...

At first I thought it was calipers because I just replaced my stuck calipers about 2 weeks ago..So I get stopped @ the light..turns green touch the gas and I would barely move..going 10mph in a 40 and car is still shaking like its on crack..

So I pull into a parking lot and check it out..its not my calipers. I give it a few revs and it sounded un-normal..

Turn the car off then back on, and the start up was crappy, I know how it should sound when I start it and it shouldnt sound like that, so gave it a few more revs while in park, and it like stuttered, then shook

Anyone have any idea wtf is going on? Sorry for the long story

I had a Van that use to do the same thing. In park it ran fine, put it in gear would hardly run....
But I don't remem, ber the cause ......I'm thinking ,dirty fuel filter...

Another time ...same symtoms = computer brain box went out = OUCH= $385

My SES is always on because one of my o2 sensors happen to be running lean..and didnt have the money to replace them yet..

I should swap sensors to see if it throw me another code so I know its that, thats causing it..but thats off topic

But my SES is always on lol, and my scantool is @ home im @ my parents house right now, called my mom to come pick me up haha

Yeah..replace the O2's. I had one go bad on my 94 3.4 and it took out the other one. Once I got a quality pair and replaced them my problems went away. It would spit and sputter like you are saying. If you haven't done a fuel filter, make sure to do that too.

Sounds like a fuel problem to me. When is the last time you put a new fuel filter on it? I'd start off with a new filter and then check the fuel pressure. Could be a pump going too. My pump in my Grand Marquis went out in about 2 seconds but my pump in my Sonoma actually took about 3 days of driving to fail completely.

would be pretty sweet if you had a fuel pressure gauge to hook up to it.. See if yur having issues.. CHECK yur airfilter.. make sure its not all dirty as hell.. IF you have a K&N filter.. the oil blows out of it onto yur maf sensor wires.. possibly those are dirty.. auto parts stores sell shit for that. that is by far the EASIEST thing to check first before throwing parts at this car.. obviously yur strapped for cash if you cant afford O2's at the moment.. check it out mang!

Yeah but a fuel filter is 1. a wise investment anyway 2. pretty much needed to get a accurate reading for the pressure, and 3. like $5

Hey 5 dollars is a lot of money for me right now.. considering i dont have a single dollar in my wallet. I'm just giving him ideas for the free side of things.. A first step diagnosis before any money gets involved.. It very well could be a fuel filter ....

Check your MAF hookup and make sure there isnt any air getting in where it shouldnt be

I would have to say if you know your O2 is bad, that would be a good place to start. Being a 94 and OBDI, you should not have a post cat O2. Which means that the only O2 you have is the one reading off your exhaust and telling your ECM/fuel injection system how much fuel to give the car. While it was reading lean before, it may be the other way around now and leaning out the car. Fix your SES, then it's easier the trace the rest. good luck.

Actually 94 3.4's are OBD 1.5. They have 3 O2 sensors, one in each manifold and one after the cat.

kk good news and bad news

                            Good news first

I started the car around 5:10pm and drove around the parking lot and everything seemed fine

Pull out on the main road to go pick my girlfriend up from work, then the problem returns pissing me the !@#$ off, I didnt want to do more harm so I pulled into Best Buy..I heard something snap or like a break off noise but im not positively sure it was from me because there was construction across the street and it was pretty loud. So I ended up walking to the mall to get my g/f.

I called my mom up for extra ride because we had to get some baby stuff out the way...

I get back to my car start up and begin to drive to my parents house (didnt want to use all my tow's on my AAA card), the vibration is the same as it has been.. So I finally pull in the driveway and smoke is coming from up under the hood.. and I mean smoke, not alot I would say medium...

uughhh...I will return 2morrow to change the plugs and going to see if I can borrow money for some o2 sensors (really tight with budget right now)

Do the O2's. My car was intermittant when it was a problem. It would run great for a bit then start sputtering and acting funny. Probably cost you about $50 or so for the pair that go in the manifolds. They're just the single wire non heated type so they're cheaper.
