I'm a GM fan as well guys but ultimately I'm interested in all cars and between those two I would rock the new 5.0 or the Camaro any day.
    Doing less with more

Honestly give it a back seat and its what the camaro should be IMO.
Agreed, I would rather take a new GS vette that will run 12.3's stock with an automatic and have a better handling/lighter package to start with.

It all boils down to individual taste. Ya like what ya like, and ya don't like what ya don't like. Nobody is likely to change anyone elses mind, no matter how long you debate the fine points of each car. If everyone liked the the same thing, it would be a pretty boring world.

I like the Camaro. It's an undeniable hit for GM. I don't like the Mustang, but it's been a traditional good seller for Ford. Does that make me any more right or wrong than anyone else? No, it's just my opinion. I do like the "new horse power wars" between GM and Ford. I think the competition will help improve both cars, and the muscle car buying public are the winners in that fight.

I would never buy a Mustang, no matter how good it gets, performance or looks wise. But that's just me. I'm a die hard Chevy guy and have been since I was a teenager (40+ years). That's just the way I am. It's like a Red Socks fan will never be a Yankee fan or a U of M fan will never be an Ohio State fan, no matter how good or bad those teams happen to be at any given point in time.

And for the record I don't have a problem with you or anyone on the site. I like to push your buttons because you get fired up like one of those girls on the hills when I talk about your car. Just like when I like to whisper sweet nothings into Jon's ear because it gets Darren fired up.

Here's GM's reaction to the latest reports from Dearborn... Basically, Mustang won the battle in May 2010, but is still down almost 20,000 units for the overall war since the Camaro came back to town.

At One Year, Camaro Leads U.S. Sports Car Segment and Wins New Chevrolet Customers Globally

Consumers made the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro the best-selling sports car in the U.S. for the first full year of sales. From May 2009 to May 2010, Camaro posted 99,872 total sales, outselling its closest competitor by nearly 20,000 vehicles. Camaro continues to bring new customers to Chevrolet dealerships – at home and overseas.

In the U.S., the 2010 Camaro’s first full month of sales was May, 2009. Camaro took the lead in monthly share of segment a month later and led the sales race for 11 of the last 12 months.

“It’s remarkable how quickly consumers connected with the new Camaro, and pushed it to the top of the segment,” says John Fitzpatrick, Camaro marketing manager, “especially considering our key competitors offer both coupe and convertible models.

“When the new Camaro went on sale, it was predominantly bought by Chevrolet owners, or Camaro enthusiasts who already owned a previous-generation. Today, about half of 2010 Camaro buyers are new to Chevrolet, some trading in performance cars such as Mustang or Nissan Z to purchase their Camaro. As Camaro brings new customers to Chevrolet, we believe it is having a residual effect on our other products.”

I know for a fact that multiple members of mifbody also have accounts on mustangfoums, I am one of them.

As long as its Ford, GM, or Chrysler, I dont care what people buy.
