Wonder who the idiot was who put the regular unleaded in the car in the first place.
Most of the Dealers have their own tanks and pumps and usually have them filled with Premium Esp. a Chevrolet Dealership considering they sell Corvettes. So this sounds like the typicla uninformed Salesman.

if they're putting it in an actual performance car like a Camaro SS, then yes I would easily see them putting it in a Cobalt SS.

seems like a mod coming! put a switch on dash to select octane level. The tree huggers would like even lower octane.

actually.. higher octane allows more efficient engines... so i doubt tree huggers would push for lower octane

That's funny. You do know the Cobalt SS is almost as fast as the Camaro SS around Nuerburgring, right? Only 2 seconds separating them.

Yeah but just because they make a cavalier fast doesn't mean I'm going to consider it a performance vehicle.
