    unibody frames are designed to be starightened - again its all pretty mute when trying to go off of pictures

          That isn't the first wrecked 5th gen. Me and my gf (ITSSLWR) seen one on a flat bed like 2 weeks ago.

                          I would say the car held up exactly like it is supposed to. The passenger compartment barely looks changed. That was a SUPER hard hit to completely wipe out the rear end. I'd like to see inside pics to see if the rear seat/floor pan was moved at all. Looks like you could still open the door and get out.

                              Can't deny the truth to these pics - he hit a pole. Whether someone hit him and sent him into a spin to a pole is one thing but I'll tell ya what... if someone creamed him hard enough that it sent him into a spin... i wouldn't expect the pole to be that far imprinted into the rear of the car.

                                but you still have a side impact besides the pole impact, my guess is he and the other person were at a decent speed when the explorer took out his quater sending him into a pole but thats my assumption, theres almost to much damage to just be a pole.
