how can anyone compare a cobalt to a camaro cobalt's are beefed up cavilers

The fact that they run about the same around the Nurburg says quite a bit, I'm willing to bet a cobalt would walk your car any day of the week on any track.

cobalt SS is to cavelier or base cobalt as SRT 4 Neon is to regular neon. Yes they can be fast... but they are still what they are.

With no lift shift, and launch control...I bet a Cobalt SS/TC would give a LT1 car a darn good run for its money. After riding in one...I am a believer.

stock LT1s are high 13s, so cobalt would trump it.

That being said I ran mid 13s with bolt ons on a track with HORRIBLE prep. so a headered car is gonna turn the tablees.

Yeah - you have to remember: The Cobalt weighs less than 3000 pounds, has only 140 less horsepower, and handles amazingly for a FWD car...it all makes sense - the car screams.

I'd take the Camaro, though.

only 140 less horsepower? Thats a big difference in power the cobalt ss should have a power to weight ratio of 11.5lbs/1hp if it 3000 pounds
the camaro should be 9lbs/1hp if its 3800 pounds are we sure the cobalt isnt Underated from the factory?

Those are nice numbers for that little car to bad they had to screw up building the Subercharged model before they made this one

I want to find one to give me a run really bad, but I want to make sure that I'm by myself so that no one can make fun of me if I lose, lol. My girlfriend would make fun of me so bad if I lost to a Cobalt, lol.

I think the problem is simply that yeah it's fast but it's still a Cobalt. Do we need to bring back the winning a race in the Special Olympics quote? It's just hard to take a faster Cavalier seriously. Next they'll make a high performance Aveo.

Oh, and Mike: the Supercharged ones aren't slow at all. On CobaltSS.net, there's one running 12.75 in the quarter mile with bolt ons and slicks. Numerous others are in the low 13s with bolt ons. Stock is high 13s to low 14s.

back in the day it was easy to say "thats just a Nova" ...as the 2800 pound car that it was pulled em outta the water next to you on gratiot and left you speechless.
