Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

The 2010 Chevy Camaro SS officially lapped Germany's Nurburgring in 8:19. How does this stack up to other GM products? As you can see, the new Camaro SS is quicker than the Pontiac G8 GXP around the 'Ring but, predictably, slower than both the Cadillac CTS-V and Corvette ZR1. At a fraction of a cost it's hard to complain about the performance.
Pontiac G8 GXP: Around The Ring In: 8:30
Camaro SS: Around The Ring In: 8:19
Cadillac CTS-V: Around The Ring In: 7:59
Corvette ZR1: Around The Ring In: 7:26
ill be the first to admit that the camaro should have beat it by more but ive been to the ring twice and 3 seconds is a big differance
Yes in 'ring time' that is alot but for Joe Consumer thats terrible. $10,000 price difference, drives the rear wheels, sole purpose of this kind of stuff and it only gets 3 seconds better with a professional driver?
That means that the Camaro is a let down, or the Cobalt SS/TC is a technological marvel....Im going with the second one.
Notice you dont see the Civic, RSX, or any of the other ricer style cars up there.
they didn't used to get beat out by the 4 door caddy
Caddy's didn't use to come with 500 hp...

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
You guys remind me of the consumer groups that are rating the Silverado down because it "only" has front and side curtain air bags but not the lower thigh air bags. Regardless of the fact that it was a big deal that now they have the side curtain airbags but now it's "just not enough" and needs to do better. I think they did a great job with those times and that it's a pretty respectable time.
No they were rated at 400hp while the SS and WS6 of earlier years were rated at 325. Now the caddy has 550hp rating and the SS camaro 422hp I still think 3 seconds on a 12 mile track is only a slight difference guys.

Yeah - you have to remember: The Cobalt weighs less than 3000 pounds, has only 140 less horsepower, and handles amazingly for a FWD car...it all makes sense - the car screams.
I'd take the Camaro, though.
Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
