I just read through this thread and it's interesting to see what everyone's views are. I just hope they bring back the Z28 either way.

True and if they're dumb enough to do all that....they're also dumb enough to never make a Z-28 again, regardless of where it fits in the line up

Marketing wise, I think it would be smart to launch with the SS, and then in two years, when craze cools off, come in and lanch a Z28, with that new hood, maybe some little extras here and there. whether it will be faster or not, who knows.

The idea that a z-28 is better in a First Gen than an SS shows up in the values. Find an original Z28 with motor and trans and you can't touch it. Find an SS and it will be less $$$.

Badges are just badges. I would rather drive a V6 with a sleeper V8 motor and stomp an SS, then drive around in a stock SS and act like I am better than everyone else.
