Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
No money to bring forward new products that will make you money to bring forward more new products.
When I was in retail that mentality always made a lot of sence to me too

Meh, hopefully it's just a false rumor. Like Ray said - the convertible is something that would bring huge success to GM. A lot of people were planning on getting the convertible simply because there wasn't a chance for the t-tops. Either way, if it is true, sad news for GM and the Camaro both that it's gotten so bad they're cancelling new products like that.
At the rate the big 3 are falling apart, nothing would surprize me any more.

It really shouldn't be a surprise even if it is delayed. Developing new program and product, even with small deviation cost a lot of cash. Camaro is a small volume product, with the convertible in even smaller volume, that brings in limited revenue. One small volume product does not justify existence of an assembly plant. GM is saving its cash for high volume, profitable product until things are better. I wouldn't say it's a poor decision.
The head honchos need to take some pay cuts and shit like that. Might save the damn company instead of delaying products that can help make them money. Oh wait, that would make sense.
lets be honest, even if the big three fail temporarily. There are just too many people who will not buy foreign cars for the companies to fail forever, they simply need to change their business strategies and refocus where they are going. Its their own fault for how they've laxed and let the other companys close the gap in the last 20 years.

People just gotta realize that the big three make awesome cars now.
GM, especially. I mean, the Malibu is INSANELY amazing quality, and I just looked at a Traverse in a parking lot, and it was absolutely stunning. The fit and finish was incredible, and the interior was beautiful.
Stereotypes used to hold some water - they don't anymore. US automakers make good cars now. The Japanese automakers have been losing quality in the past years...

Im not directly referring to end quality, although that probably did play a role into tarnishing the image prior to the current cars. Its more a factor of productivity and streamlining the ways their factories are building the cars. If companies cant be efficient it costs to much to introduce new innovations and to continue operations, combine that with slow sales and you get our big three. Now if they could get more efficient they could lower the prices and still maintain the quality.. now that would get some sales.
To add, its hard to make money when the top execs get paid the cash they do, as well as all the people designing new products, i guess when the workers keep wanting more money for not really improving anything thats why the jobs go off to mexico where the same will get done for cheaper lol.
