man i've already been hitting up the auto loan tools to see what kind of payments i would be making. I think 30k for this car is excellent. Think about the GT500 and how it costs nearly 50k the ss is 430 horse for about 20k less. Spend 5k on a supercharger for this car and wow!!! I think GM will sell the crap out of this car considering i priced out a mustang GT @ 300 horsepower GT I got up to 32,000 with basically 500 watt stereo. I hope within the next year or two to buy one, I just want to slap down a good down payment so i have low monthly payments.

A very approximate rule of thumb is to expect to pay $17 per month per $1000 financed over 60 months.

So financing $30,000 would run you about $510 a month...approximately...

jeff is that with no down payment, because my grandpa pretty much told me he would give me like 6k for a down payment. And according to GMAC that would give me a payment of around 400 for 60 months

Yeah, I just threw a number out there as an example...$400 over 60 months would be something like financing $24K or thereabouts...

The next question is what is insurance going to be for these things...

i would hope insurance rates are better than 4th gens considering how much more of a safety approach they took this time around.
