I agree he's never led us wrong and he has a lot of inside knowledge, I trust what Scott says, but he doesn't have much to do with the actual program as far as decision making.

come on get real guys people won't understand if the Z28 is top dog it will definatly be an SS model up top and I'd bet the farm on a plain jane LS3 motor to go along with it. How the hell do they detune 100hp anyways through that LS9 run 3lbs of boost? Not my optimal situation but they must do whats gonna sell.

people didnt understand SS being on top in '96. I specifically remember my dad asking "what the hell was up with that." 4th gens were the only time one was just "better" than the other. Prior to that they had different roles.

For me its not about whether Z28 is on top or not. I want to see it a bare-bones package performer again.

that depends what you are talking about... if its quarter mile times, then yes i would agree in regards to early second gens with 396s and LT1s. 2nd gens are not the image the car was created in though.

As far as first gens go, i dont think there is solid evidence that either a Cross Ram Z or 375hp 396 SS was faster than the other in the 1/4... theyre a drivers race.

Z28 was the performer you wouldnt want to drive everyday

SS was the more practical, comfortable, equipped car with friendlier driving manners (low end power).

Similar performance in the straights - different target markets.

I don't care what they do. Just bring it back and sell lots of them.
