What structural evidence do you see?

I can tell you that neither of our BIWs have any roof reinforcement...

Thats the G8 Wagon, the cars are G8's, and the truck thing is the G8 truck version, all in their Australian version. Visit GMInsidenews.com more often

Interior looks OK to me. Going for a 1st gen look. I'm surprised to see 20" wheels on one of the mules.

Look at the giant thing in the middle of the roof running all the way back...just like 4th gen's.

right, structure has to be put somewhere, it doesnt come in the form of a sheetmetal roof.

Did you forget about the recess in the roofline that runs from front to back? I guarantee there won't be T tops in the car. New crash regulations have killed them off.

                      Uhmmm...yeah, yeah it does.

A plastic overhead console provides nothing for structure.

I dont understand how TTops are worse than Controvertible. Could someone please explain that.

um, what are you talking about? that little recess isnt enough to affect the roofliner. Notice the door windows are also frameless, which is necessary for t-tops

i dont consider the hump in 4th gen hard tops an overhead console. They added a couple lights up there on this mule to make it look like one. oh boy.

They did offer overhead consoles as an option on third gens 87(?) through 92.

Lights, storage, a flashlight and holder, mileage counters.

yes they did thats my point. the console is there (optionally or not) to disguise the structure of the T-roof on the mule.

I dont remember if the 3rd gens had the hump or not, but they did have structure in there.
