It's growing on me. To bad I won't be able to afford 1. Was hoping to be saving up money all this time and buy a 4th gen when it came out. Oh well.

And for the billionth time I'd still rather have a 4 door Charger or Challenger than one of these. Don't see what the platform has to do with anything. Hope its not a waisted effort on GM's part.Originally posted by GETGONE View PostFor the billionth time! The Camaro is ALL NEW on an ALL NEW platform, not a rehashed, bastardized exsisting platform that the Challenger is on. It's easy to take a 300/Magnum/Charger and hack it up and put a new body on an exsisting drivetrain. It's a huge undertaking to build an entirely new car on an entirely new platform and retool a plant to build it. The plant in Canada just stopped making the Monte and other cars about a month or 2 ago. They're in the process of building it up for the Camaro. They're going as fast as they can to get this thing out, but it's not gonna happen overnight. There's a lot more than just throwing parts together. You have to do testing internally, crash and emissions testing, production line testing. There's just a TON of stuff to do on the Camaro platform that the Challenger didn't have to go through. I'd rather them take the time and make the car RIGHT then to rush it and have a mediocre product that doesn't sell and they kill it off permanently.
