He must have also gone up in tire diameter then? looks like you have considerably more sidewall than my 18s. Nice work making them shine again.

Congratulations on finding yourself a car! I'm assuming if you "measured" the wheels you measured lip to lip. the size of the wheel is actually from the point at which the tire mounts. if you measured 19" from top to bottom I would imagine your rims are actually an 18, like Mike said, check the tire size on the sidewall, the last number "xxx/xx r xx" is the rim size

Don't fret about sand paper. Somebody is going to have to do it to paint it

Oh, and look up a 98+ spindle and brake kit. Should help the stopping power a bit for not a lot of coin.
I new set of brakes and a good bleeding will probably help a good as is!
I know someone with an entire set of LS1 brakes sittin on a shelf too! SSBC "swirl" rotors with their pads, prob 1K miles on them if not less

She either needs new brake pads or F-bodys dont brake well.. lmao i have no idea.
You can save yourself a lot of money even if you do a lot of the prep work/disassembly and have someone else spray it!

                    Teaser?

I guess you can kind of call this a teaser. Of course after i get the window and blinker fixed. the next thing is paint. I really want to make a bandit replica type car. ive seen one online and he says he thinks its the only one in the US. I dont want to do it exactly like his but here are his pictures just to give you an idea of what the black and gold looks like.

i know i dont want to do all that striping around the wheel wells. I think id put a stripe around the spoiler and taillights like he did and then just change the stripes ive got now to that some shade of gold. (no bird on the hood)
                    thoughts?

                    Paint FTW
and they would obviously be an exact gold color..

IMO there is a reason why that guy has the only one in the U.S. but everyone has their own taste.

98+ taillights are a common upgrade so they bring in high prices. I like the Bandit TA - if it's toned down just a little bit I think you'd have a winner.

I tried tracking him down this summer. He moved a couple years ago, and the people who live there now don't know where he moved to or how to contact him.
