The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Not at the moment. I *may* add the hood spears (goes on either side of the hood cowl) but I'm not planning on doing the same stripes as Red Alert right now. Want it to be the same concept (red, black stripes) but different.
Haha the scissors didn't damage anything, rubber handle and I was gentle. This is a daily driver, it's going to see worse than me gently putting scissors on the car
Got some better pictures today. I also started on a project to change the LEDs in the gauge cluster. Unfortunately, I goofed and burned two of the LEDs so I have to wait for extra LEDs to arrive. Once the extras arrive, I'll finish the red ring and then also replace all the LEDs that light up the numbers and change that to white instead of blue. Anyway, here's the pics:
Brian, don't order LEDs man. I work for an LED supplier! Those are power topleds, or something with a similar pitch for the leads. I've replaced thousands of them. What color do you want? I can get them by the hundreds. I just redid a Chrysler 200 in warm white, came out pretty sharp. I work for OSRAM, they are the LED division of Sylvania.
I can also swap them out for you, if necessary. I have all of the ultra cool special tools and stuff. I's a professional and all that.

I'll have to keep that in mind for when I want to do the radio and other parts. I've already ordered the PLCC-2 LEDs so I'll just finish the project out. I was ordering mine from Oznium.com

Yeah, that thing was fun to build. I still have it somewhere.
No worries Brian, let me know when your ready to do the rest. We can take some readings and get the right LED's to balance the color shift out so it all matches. Thats the fun part. I used eight different shades of white to match the Chrysler one I just did, but thats a whole nother story.
It's amazing how the right tool (in this case a new soldering iron with a fine tip) makes ALL the world of difference when working on a project. I bought a $10 hobby kit (4 wood burning tips, 3 soldering iron tips) from Harbor Freight and used that today. It made the soldering go extremely fast.
