Thanks guy I'm glad you like it. As far as the axle goes we got it for $500. We drove down to ohio to pick it up from a guy off on one of the corvette forums, who is friends with Tommy Morrison the race car driver. The axle only has 10 miles on it because the car was driven to a shop where Tommy Morrison used to convert cars to race cars. They guy we bought the axle from bought a warehouse full of third gen parts from the shop.sigpic

Hey guys I know it's been awhile I've been busy with school, but yesterday my father and I started the motor for the first time. I took a video which I'll post in a few, and I finally ordered the rebuild kit for the trans from Pro-Built Automatics. We still have some adjusting and tuning to do to the motor, theres a vacuum leak where one of the runners meets the intake manifold so I have to swap it out with a new gasket but other than that it fired right with no problems!sigpic

The runners are just too small, go aftermarket and you should remove a choke point.

That's exactly what I thought as well. I ultimately kept the TPI setup so I could keep the 3 point strut brace.

We ordered the street/strip transmission rebuild kit and vigilante torque converter from pro-built automatics in California. Once we rebuild the trans and get that installed we can get the rest of the exhaust installed. We will have to try and find someone to do a final tune and I have a feeling thats not going to be an easy task, as there are not a lot of guys that tune TPI anymore, every one does LSx these days. If anyone has a source I would definately be interested.sigpic

I have the equipment to tune them, but I'm not the best tuner. Although...I did get mine to run pretty well
