OK, first let me say that I did NOT sell the Trans Am . . . . this is my new DD.

Second, no hatin' because it's not an F-Body . . . I already have a beautiful one of those, wanted something different.

So . . . . here's a couple pics. Just picked the car up last weekend (Friday before Easter.) 45K miles, 2005 model, in very good shape, and a whole lot of fun to drive. And it's a convertible, just in time for summer

Tell me what you think! (Pics are a little rough, I will get better ones soon.)

Congrats! You need to detail it though, the front rims are pretty dirty. . . I'm thinking you need to get a photoshoot setup. I've always wondered about those BMW's, they have always interested me.

Nice car. Throw some rims on it and it will come into its own. I am sure you will get it cleaned up and looking BA.

Generally BBS makes them for BMW, so that makes sense

BMW still makes the design though.

Hands down BMW wins best wheels.

Handling on this car is in a different league from an F-body . . . tight, hugs the road, less jarring, more grip. 3-series BMWs have nearly 50-50 weight distribution due to the inline-6 and its position in the engine compartment. It makes a lot of torque also; especially in sport mode where the shift points change. The automatic has 3 different auto modes: standard, sport, and full manual shift select.

IMO, F-bodies were made to go fast in a straight line. Even 4th gens, though better than previous cars, were still not the best in the curves. (I haven't driven a 5th gen though, I hear they are much better than all previous gens.) This car is made to go fast through curves, and let you feel the road w/o hating the bumps.

That's American cars in general. American sports cars are built for generally going straight and fast. Even cars like a ZO6 who are meant to handle in the corners better are still piss poor in the turns compared to European cars. The just have a different style of roads over there and all their racing is road tracks.
