Yeah, the paint and rims need some TLC . . . previous owner was not as anal about detailing as I am lol. I washed it and did a once-over on the rims, got most of the brake dust off, but they definitely need a much better scrub than I have done so far. They are the M-series rims, which I really like; they were included in the sport package along with a 3-spoke steering wheel and the sport bolstered seats.

That's American cars in general. American sports cars are built for generally going straight and fast. Even cars like a ZO6 who are meant to handle in the corners better are still piss poor in the turns compared to European cars. The just have a different style of roads over there and all their racing is road tracks.

Agreed! It's one of the reasons I went to look at this car. I've always driven American muscle; wanted to try something different for a chance. Me likey.

But we like torque, and going fast in a straight line - if you watch Autocar's (I think) review of the CTS-V vs the M5, once the cars hit 150, the M5 makes up all the lost ground and leaves the CTS-V in the dust...

Nuerburgring also had alot of big open area's where the Vette can use it's speed

You're comparing one corvette against everything else. Look at the overall list of cars to go around that track and see how European cars stack up against American cars. Also, like Mark said, there are a lot of long straights where the pure torque of the 'vette really helps.

Very nice! It appears to be a 330 which should have plenty of power to be a fun summer crusin car! The 3.0 L is a great engine.

Yes it is a 330ci (3.0L inline 6.) Rated at 235 bhp according to a few sites I checked.

I was surprised at how low the rumble is, too. I guess I am used to V6's which tend to be higher pitched; also the dual exhaust helps with the sound I am sure.

Nice ride man. I am partial to BMW's, some Mercedes and Porsches having lived in Germany for 12 years. I rented a 5 series the last week I was in Germany, lot of fun on the autobahn. Had the diesel in it, topped out at 155 MPH and felt like I was sitting in my living room.

Very nice. 3 series are sweet and it's a vert to boot so you can't go wrong. Good buy.
