You just have to make sure that you find a price that is fair to you (Seeing the wear and tear on your camera and your time). Also you must appeal to people's sense of value. If you think $50 for several hours of your time and work as well as time printing and mailing and packaging... You get the point then go for it. $50 imo is more than fair.

adding on to my recent comment, this is way better, i forgot to add in the time and wear and tear value so 50 dollars would be more then fair lol

It's the schools, not mine, I'd have to ask the print ppl for a specific model. I know it's not even two years old yet though.

Haha I can't blame folks for wanting something for free. AND xDetroitMetalx IS asking what you would be willing to pay but think about it. He has drivetime and gas to and from the photoshoot. The time doing the shoot itself. Time spent just choosing the right pic and more time formatting and doing touchup to get ready to print. May or may not have time and gas to get wherever he is doing the printing. For sure will have time and gas for mailing not to mention a tube to mail it in and of course the postage itself. And if he is shooting 300 pics and is mailing you a CD of that it can not go in the tube.
He will have a minimum of 3 to 4 hours time in this and $30 in materials and that likely doesn't include tube and shipping. At $50 he will be loosing money.
Mark if you are willing to do it for that, more power to ya.

Agreed. I mean I would love a $25 poster, but knowing how much time and energy goes into something like this I would feel bad about it. Plus I guess I figure if I pay more, I will be getting more. I know I would take a project more seriously with a real world wage offered.

Well if it were me, and it cost 30 bucks to print the poster, then you have the picture taking time and printing time and shipping costs, it seems like a fair price would be $75.00. I would be willing to do that for a nice poster pic of my car. Maybe for those that don't want to spend that much you could offer a 18" X 24" for $30-35.00. Come on guys his time is worth some money.

generally, you would spend more than that just for a photographer to do a shoot... ..let alone all the stuff you will be getting after marks done with you
