The fronts are that much more desirable?

Yep...very popular thing to do...really makes the rear of the car look wider...

Here are some more pictures. The one bad spot is a good size but things around it appear to be solid around it from what I can tell.

From this pic it looks like the rims are front and rears.

At some point someone started to "clean up" the engine bay...

very nice! The rims look to be correct also. As solid as that car is, its sort of hard to see someone part it out.

I agree, it's looking like I'm going to put it back together. What's another car in the fleet...

I think there is a line forming... if I decide to sell it I'll post and ad.

So after all the talk about fronts and rears from the one picture I was sure I had a pair of fronts and rears... turns out I was wrong.

I got if off the car dolly this weekend and was looking it over more to determine what all it was going to need. I was standing at the back of the car when I realize that the passenger side rear tire was sticking out more than the driver. So I looked a little closer and come to find out that I have 3 front rims and 1 rear... wtf.
So, you were correct in that the passenger side did in fact have 2 fronts on it (good eye), but the driver side does not.

So, the main reason I bought the car was for the rims... and now I still don't have a complete set to use on either car. I guess the bright side is that at least now I know how to tell the difference...

That's kinda funny. Well seeing as how Jeff said the fronts are valuable I think you have two options...

                1. Find one more front wheel
                2. Sell one of the fronts and buy one rear wheel and have a little bit of pocket change

I'll end up with a complete usable set one way or another, but for now I think the car might have to get sold, minus the rims of course.
