Looks nice! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Your '73 is one of my favorite cars on this site.

Great starter car! I'm not a big fan of red interiors but for some reason it looks great with that black paint.

Looks like a really nice '85 IROC-Z ya got there, Mike. The L-69, H.O and 5 speed combo is pretty rare for 1985. Only available at the beginning of production and only 2,497 (out of 21,177 IROC-Z's) were built before it was dropped (vapor lock issues). We ordered our '85 in January of 1985 as an H.O. 5 speed car, and it never got built, we had to switch to the Tuned Port and automatic to get our car off "hold" and back into production.

What other options does the car have?
RIP Doug,You will always be remembered

Thanks for stats Doug, I kind of figured it was at least a little rare as I have not seen too many. I think Derek (Xelerator) thinks I should keep it stock, and I probably should but that is not how I am wired. As far as options it has AC, TTops, PW,PL posi and rear discs. Back in the 80s I had and 85 IROC with the same color scheme but was a TPI auto. It also had the Lier Siegler Camaro seats. I bought the car with only 4500 miles on it but it had been hit in the front.
I put a new 383 in it with modified TPI and bought one of those Dana 44 rears and new beefed up 700r4. I also had a fiberglass hood that looked just like the IROC race cars. I had to sell the car for a van when I had my son. Boy I missed that car, if anyone knows of a IROC equipped like this I sure would be interested. Anyway sorry for the long story, but that obsession is what lead me to buy this car.
