I had that "back-firing" problem on my '94 LT1 @ WOT. Found a leak in one vac line(near the TB). It'd be a good idea to check for that yourself.

u can add a vacuum can for added vacuum. I know Justyn has one on his 72 that he has to install yet.
But I agree, I would check for a vacuum leak.
I know some people who have put some nasty cams in 4th gens, and they never had a problem.

Cant tell much in the vid. Guess you will have to pick me up and take me for a ride LOL!!

Hey you never picked me up last summer!

The owner told me one of the headers has a leak and he gave me new gaskets for both sides. So those need to be changed out. I'll look for some vacuum leaks. How would I add more vacuum if I wanted too?

In my exhaust thread Brian said something about brake boosters and stuff. Would any of these be what I want?

Brake boosters work off the vacuum created by your engine, including the stock one located right behind your master cylinder. Check for the leaks first. Depending on the cam profile, you may need to get a vac canister. That canister will store vacuum & allow you to use your power-steering & power brakes when the engine doesn't produce enough itself.

Yep - I've seen a few people use the hydraboost system from (I think) Astro vans...

Only time I have is brakes is like below 5mph when the engine is barely idling. Haven't' had any power steering issues.

That, or what I said - which is actually a belt driven vacuum device that creates vacuum.

It's just the head liner shesh. The trim on the doors around the stereo is more like a granite look. Have to see it in person or something. I like the trim so it'll be staying. Breaks up the black on the inside and it's different.
