Right, but I think Dave's are/were the ones that looked like (possibly were) stick on wheel weights so they only project 1/4" or so. I'm sure it's not going to make the car obnoxious or anything, just what I have read is they are for "harmonic dampening".

Thanks for all the info. I did get in touch with Tire Rack today. As you suggested I looked at the website and did only see 19" and 20" wheels offered as working with the SS. I finally got to talk with one of their tech. gurus.
The weights that Belle Tire removed for me were put there for "harmonic dampening" for brake noise at high speed/"hard driving". At anything under 130mph their absence would probably not be noticeable in any way. You're right in that the newer calipers have the dampeners incorporated into the caliper and are not removable. Tire Rack has not recalled their 18" MODAs, they just don't offer them as a package for 2010 Camaro SS's. They say the 19" & 20" wheels avoid the problem altogether now and that's what they recommend. Knowing all this now, If they had offered a decent/not too expensive 19 or 20" package when I got the ones I have now- well I probably would've just gotten that. In the meantime I'll work with what I've got. If I find that getting those weights back on is any problem in the spring, I'll move to a different set if I have to.
Thanks again for pointing this stuff out to me- I probably would not have found out about it any other way.

Honestly Dave I wouldn't even worry about your wheel/tire setup. I was just curious as to how those wheels fit on your car. If you find the brakes ever seem overly noisy then worry about it but I doubt that will be noticable.Doing less with more
