Very nice, Dave. I like the subtle stripes. CGM stripes? But like you mentioned, white rally stripes look awesome on ABM. I've seen that combo and it's stunning. Certainly not as subtle as what you have, if subtle was the look you were looking for, though.

It's very cool, either way. ABM is one of my favorite colors for the 5th Gen. It's a shame GM has dropped that color. I think it was just catching on when they decided to drop it.

Can't wait to see your car.

They are indeed 18s. I found out about the package via The Tire Rack (thanks to some guys at Camaro5.com) They have tested it out thoroughly and guaranteed that it would fit on the 2SS without any problem. They were willing to ship it- mounted, balanced, TPMS sensors for $1600.00. Of course then you'd still need to get the originals off and the new ones on.

Belle Tire here in Holt, MI (on Pennsylvania) ordered the same package for me, called me when they arrived, took off the originals, put on the new ones, recalibrated the TPMS system for $1602 and change. They had no trouble whatsoever putting the Moda wheels on and they fit just fine. The only thing of interest was that the high-speed (in excess of 130mph) balancing weights that normally sit on the hub had to be removed.
Belle Tire put those weights in a baggie for me and they can easily be put back when I put the original wheels/ tires back on in the spring.

              Hope this info helps.

I have to admit that I was a little suprised to hear that GM discontinued the color. I was also told by one of the guys at the dealership that GM wants to keep the color exclusive to 'Vettes. I have no idea if that's really true.

CGM= Cyber Gray Metallic. Yeah, I've always liked "subtle", but I'll probably always wonder if I should have gotten white rally stripes. Maybe we'll end up changing them by next year- but I don't think so.

Anyway, Thanks for you comments and we're certainly looking forward to the M & G too!

I approve wholeheartedly. Definitely one of the best color combos out there for the 5th gen.

My buddy had a set order through Tirerack just like you and now if you go look they aren't available. They had recalled all the 18s because of the caliper weight interference as I mentioned.

I will have to look into this. I have heard nothing about it. I have not noticed any driving problem because of it. I thought the problem with some 18" wheels was that they actually wouldn't fit on the hub because of the Brembo brakes. Clearly what Belle Tire took off (small weights similar to wheel balancing weights) had nothing whatsoever to do with the brakes. Anybody else out there with this MODA wheel combo have any problems?
                      Thanks for the info!!

if Belle Tire took off any weights from the caliper that is why they fit, when Tirerack helped to design the 18" wheels for the camaro they never had any weights on the calipers. After production they added them to quiet down the brakes and there became the issue. Call Tirerack they will know, you can't even find anything but 20" wheels now on their site.

Those weights are not really weights, they were put there to decrease brake noise as I recall. GM has now designed a new mechanism to achieve the same purpose. Either way they were there for a reason.

my buddy just got his car 2 weeks ago and it has weights on it still, but they are molded into the caliper no just stuck on.

Yep I believe those are them, look at how much room they take up, if the clearance were tight before with the 18" wheels then obviously they would interfere.
