Dammit, how many times must I say this! I HAVE AN LT1 AND A 4L60E TRANS READY FOR THE SWAP!!! I HAVE A DONOR CAR! I am going to swap in the LT1 eventually, I don't care how much cheaper anyone thinks any other V8 car would cost, my cost now would be less than $500. My car would fetch about $2,000 on the market today, so that's a $2,500 Z28. Can you find me one that cheap? Don't think so, not in the shape that my car is in. I made my decision, and it's not up for discussion anymore. I made my plans, leave them alone. The Monte runs on 115 octane gas, which is about $4.50 a gallon currently, and the mileage sux ass. . . That's why I don't drive the monte.

well i thought u just made a thread that said "WTB: 3rd gen maro/bird v8".....maybe i am wrong..well anyways good luck selling your car for $2000 if i remember right u didnt even pay that much for it, with 200,000 plus miles, a 3.4, and all the front end damage, i wouldnt give u $800 for it...but why would u ever want to sell it??? if i remember right with all your "mods" u can beat f150 lightnings...

Guys, get off his nuts already. He's not selling his car, he's keeping it and throwing the LT1 in it because it's something he already had available to him, he didn't have to buy any of it. If I had an LT1 motor sitting in my garage, I'd do the same thing. If you had the engine in your garage, I'm pretty sure you'd atleast try to do the same thing to, unless you have a turd gen, in which case the swap would probably be a lot harder than swapping an LT1 into a 3.4L. Let the man do what he wants to his own car.
