Yeah, Chad's got one sweet ass ride. Does he still have it?Originally posted by MP81 View PostSo would I.

Look. Bad. Ass.
If I remember correctly, he was the guinea pig for the VFN Sunoco hood.. first ever to have it. ...quite possibly the first for the Sunoco stripe too.

I was the first person to get the Sunoco hood with the line and yes I tested fitted the hood for VFN.
And yes I was the person the test fitted the side stripes as well. We went through a couple sets before he got it right. The ones pictured were one of the earlier designs. While not a huge difference the newer designs did fit better.

And since my car was brought up here's one of the most recent pictures of it.

You can see my avatar which shows it with the hockey stripes, I for one loved them.

^^ you have any better pics of the rear 1/4 sunoco stripe? I can't really see it there cause of the glare.

Alright here's my take on this:Originally posted by Z28ISGR8 View PostI almost think that because my car isn't an SS and doesn't have the hood scoop with a black insert that that is why the sticks look weird to me on my car. I just think it's lacking something without more black on the car than just the hockey stripes. Any opinions?????????
1) I agree with the WMCC crew - GMMG stripes or not at all.
2) yes you need more black, but here are some suggestions:
- Berger Panel (you already mentioned that)
- Blackouts: Corner Lights and side markers - maybe tails but i wouldnt
- Smoked Headlight Assembly like Chad has, but Im thinking stockers
- Black Billet Grille (and id also recommend the blue 69 Chevelle Bowtie)
- Tint!
3) I dont think you need an SS hood. The flat hood goes well with the low look of the GFX, imo. If you did get one though, definitely add some black to it.-Joel

do not get clear corners if you are doing a black theme, it conflicts. Get either blackouts or smoked housings. Ive had both. I might be putting the blackouts over the black housings when i get some LEDs for them. but anyway here's some pics:

I agree 100% with Joel. I just put clear corners in my car, and they contrast wayy to much. I gotta yank em out and knock em down with some VHT.

i agree with getting blacked out corner lenses up front, they are cheap and would look great with the black hocky stick stripes.
something like this would go a long way http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...Q5fAccessoriesLast edited by white96TA; February 4th, 2009, 12:08 AM.
