    How old are you? In 1987 the IROC was king of the road, it creamed Mustang GT's left and right. The only domestic car able to beat it was the Corvette. Yes, maybe today production cars are a little faster in the 1/4 but not by much. They aren't making high compression 60's muscle capable of 12's in the 1/4 anymore. And to get a car in the 12's today means losing wieght and engine mods......

    I don't think the 87 numbers on the Camaro are anything to laugh at.
    I don't think that he was making fun of your car. That being said I think that a second is quite a bit. A bolt-on ls1 can easily make 12's. Also, they improved alot more than just straight line speed in those years.
