  • lowering springs, anything else?

I have a friend who purchased some Eibach sportlines and was wondering if anything is needed to install these, besides the usual spring compressors and alignment. pretty basic isnt it? i bought mine lowered so i have no clue. thanks. oh yeah its a 99 T/A.

lowering the car will put different angles on all the suspension, take a look underneath and ul notice the lca's arent horiziontal like they should be anymore, probably angled slightly. just a good idea to do.

I had sportlines on my whip for a while. You don't need anything but the springs and a compressor to install them really. Look in my garage if you wanna see how it is.

Agreed, When I put my stock springs on the car hooked so much better, I can actually get some weight transfer now lol

I'm tempted to do lowering springs on my car, but I dunno for sure yet. I know if I do anything, I'll be carrying 2x4s with me somewhere for when I need to get somewhere that my car is too low to get.

Shocks, LCA brackets and an adjustable panhard are "must haves" if you ask me. Not required but will make it ride, and hook better. The panhard allows you to recenter the rear after lowering it. I've got a lowered panhard bar bracket for mine that I need to get installed soon. I didn't have the right size drill bit when I went to install it a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't waste time with a spring compressor. Take the old and new stuff to NAPA and for $28 they'll swap them over. That's what I did and it was the best money I've spent. I could have wasted hours trying to do it myself.
